Young Carers' Project

What is the Young Carers' project?

The Young Carer’s project is run by Haringey Council to offer support and respite to Young Carers. Referrals are made from a variety of sources: social care, schools and self-referral.

  • the chance to meet other Young Carers
  • people who are trained to act on behalf of the Young Carer
  • help with money
  • guidance on what to do in an emergency
  • information about how to cope with illness and disability
  • the opportunity to discuss needs and support
  • Young Carer’s club
  • trips and activities
